Committee wants few restrictions on Uber and other ride-hailing companies

An all-party committee is examining ride-hailing regulations in British Columbia. It recommends few restrictions when it comes to boundaries, fares, and supplies of vehicles and drivers. But Transportation Minister Claire Trevena is staying firm with a Class 4 requirement because it provides more safety for passengers.
