Canada Revenue Agency falling behind as uncollected taxes owed rise to $44 billion

A $352 million collection program launched by the Liberals has not stopped the growth in the tax debt - the amount of taxes Canadians acknowledge owing to Ottawa but have not paid. The tax debt hit a record $44 billion in March and is set to rise to more than $47 billion by 2020, an internal document shows.
